Papyrus who was really glad to see him at first thinks a bit, stands up, and asks comedically that if he's seeing Sans then he likely might've died too. But to his surprise, while he was crying Sans showed up, saying that he looks pretty busted and asks if he's alright.

Chara proclaims that this fight can't be resolved with words, Gaster tells Toriel and Asgore that he is not fit for fighting, and Undyne states that he is pretty tough and strong, however, he's far too nice and has such an innocent nature that it made Undyne think that if she ever let Papyrus join the Royal Guard, he'd probably be ripped into little smiling pieces.
